About Us

Welcome to Rasen Riders Cycling Club.

Rasen Riders was set up to bring together like minded cyclists living in and around Market Rasen. Founded as a social club, Rasen Riders is a place where cyclists of all abilities can find a wheel to ride on.

We cater for all abilities through our friendships with local Breeze and British Cycling guided rides and we organise training rides for those who want something a bit faster.

Our Sunday Big Easy ride is a no drop social ride, focused on fun. We usually ride around 35 miles stopping at one of our favourite cafes around two thirds of the way round. The focus on fun, a natter, coffee and cake make the Big Easy a favourite amongst club members.

Our rides mostly start and finish in Market Rasen which is located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We can boast having some of the quietest back roads and beautiful countryside the county has to offer.

To learn more about upcoming rides please visit our rides page.

For more information on the club, please check us out on Facebook or email rasenridersclub@gmail.com and we'll be happy to answer any queries you have.

Official Club

Rasen Riders is affiliated to British Cycling who is the governing body for our sport. Having affiliation means the club is recognised nationally, giving club members certain advantages like gaining national points if you choose to race at a British cycling event. The club also gets public liability insurance for those unforeseen moments. However, our insurance doesn’t cover the rider so we always recommend that you obtain your own personal sports insurance. Click here for the British Cycling website and their safety guidance .

JOIN US for 2023

  • Why Not Come For a Ride

  • We want to promote the fun of cycling, so we have a 'three rides’ policy, come ride with us three times before you sign up and see if the club is for you. Why not come along with us on one of our 'Big Easy’ Sunday road rides.
Mileage for a Sunday road ride is usually around 35 to 40 miles, with a cafe stop for a tea or coffee, a snack and a friendly chat.
As a guide we will typically ride at an average speed of 13 to 15 mph - but it's not about the speed, it's about getting together and having a ride and chat at a pace that suits all that are riding on the day.
